By chloe w.

Storms in the US and fires in Australia also destroyed lives and buildings. It looks like the movie "The Day After Tomorrow," everything on the earth is freezing and scaring.
There is no doubt that we are facing the serious global warming problems. From the past years, rumors about the global warming are everywhere. Many theories and ideas about this environmental crisis are booming. Based on a landmark report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change releasing in 2001, the temperature of our earth will rise between 1.4 degrees and 5.8 degrees Celsius by the end of this century. Recently, Mark Lynas, a British scientist, had released what might be the scariest news. His research discovered that if the earth warms up by six degrees, our world could totally change. It can not only harm billion of livings on earth but also happen before the end of the century.
The National Geographic Channel will look into this theory: Six Degrees Could Change the World in this month. Greenland's ice sheet, the creation of deserts in the Southern Africa and the Midwestern United States will disappear as well as the Amazon rainforest will collapse if rise a 3 degree Celsius. The creepiest part is that all life on earth including human beings will be eliminated if the temperature rise a 6 degree Celsius.
The world's temperature is increasing degree by degree. There are many shocking news already there everyday such as numbers of wildfires, typhoons, and tornados as well as melting glaciers and drying rivers and lakes around the world. These fatal changes are jeopardizing our lives.
